Danny Carlo Pandolfi is a highly experienced educator who has worked with groups of adults, schools, children, across all ages, in schools, youth centres, prisons and more. He has delivered workshops and projects with marginalised, disadvantaged and at-risk young people, focusing on poetry and/or rap as a self-empowerment tool and positive outlet for expression, personal growth and confidence building. He also delivers writing workshops specialising in areas such as Vulnerability, Mental Health, Self-Expression, Hip Hop & Poetry, and he can create new workshop models/themes upon request.
Danny has delivered poetry in schools and prisons all over the South West and around the UK, for KS1 students all the way through to college / sixth form. He regularly delivers education work in schools and youth centres on behalf of major organisations such as The Poetry Society and Bath Festivals. He has delivered poetry/rap/writing sessions for schools, charities, universities and youth centres, 1-1 mentoring, and has facilitated weekend writing retreats. He has also co-delivered a week-long series of performance poetry workshops at the esteemed Alpbach Forum in Austria, and mentored the Poetry Society’s Foyle Young Poets at the Arvon Centre’s prestigious week-long retreats since 2022. His workshops can range anywhere from a 1 hour session to regular long-term projects.
He has an Enhanced DBS, Mental Health in the Workplace training, and is qualified to deliver Arts Award for young people. He has a full driving licence and is able to travel around the UK to facilitate sessions. Highly experienced, he has been a performing rapper and poet for 10 years. He has a Degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Bristol, and an MA in Spoken Word / Transnational Writing from Bath Spa University.
